How can this number count and speak
diversely echoing things?
How does my life weave together
through loops and stitches in the air,
invisible dances within the mind?
How can I decide
if a cost affirms a choice
when its searching dove is wearied
and returns with emptiness, instead of ground?
How will I celebrate my gain, my loss, and the unknown?
How do I learn to pace with patience
around my aerie and daily keeping
eggs that hold experience and self-determined hatching?
How can repetition be the salve and balm
to ease the passages through time?
How does this wandering soul choose
which way to go or estimate expense?
How can all my paths end up
at their beginning, me beside myself
and calling to the wild?
How do words I spoke so long ago
in desperation, come back wiser to me now?
How do I love with fervor I remember
when a murder gathers to remind?
How do I find the missing words
to assemble what I feel?
How is reconciliation found
if parties languish in desire?
How does a parent
whisper to a child
with words of wonder and of horror
while looking at the clouds?
How do immortal roaring storms
elect their day to calmly slip
behind the night and wait
while their wearied child wobbles down
and down until assuaging dreams reply—
time to wake, to stand, and roar upon your own?

I walk along with yous beside myself
Yous speak and say, The view is nice it seems
Do you agree? yous ask repeatedly

yous shatter into you and you and
you coagulate form you/s as
light spasms struggle to be
out, immanent ants emerge, some/thing
upon their backs, crawling around
a winding clock ever never
starting: a question and its
answer; go, stay, come (back)
silent metronome paces time
edge-to-tick-to-edge-to-tick-to-
you/s as punctuation in the air on
the line, tape flaps encore une fois,
play(ing) purpose(less) written-light

heart here? when i wake and seek,
Where is my heart moving? when i
wake and speak, How will my heart
go? when i wake and listen, What
is my heart saying? when i wake
and when i sleep and when i gaze,
Who dares to separate the seas
as i move along curves between
a heart that aches and a heart that
swells, a heart that presses and
a heart that bursts? in beat by
blood-dripping beat comprehensions
and surprises bloom. collisions may
perhaps
be space debris or self-
discovery or something like
these paths i did not make but glisten
sparkle with a scent (but how)
of under-standing or of love
or of simple scenes where petals leave
some flowered trees,
a fall upon ambivalent line through final life
or final climb with whispers waking, Watch
